An article from The Root reports that former Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby was recently moved to a new police department in Oklahoma, after being acquitted of killing Terence Crutcher. There is video recordings of the killing of Terence Crutcher, showing Crutcher walking away from officer Shelby as she proceeds to shoot Crutcher in the side. Crutcher’s death adds to the dismal tally of unarmed black people who are killed by police officers. And the acquittal of officer Shelby reinforces the need to reform police review.
